History

The Purple Card® was founded in 1997 by Dawn Brinson, who sensed frustration from members regarding health care insurance companies and providers. As a result, she created The Purple Card® to improve the member experience of dealing with employee benefit issues and concerns with healthcare providers.

Today, our Patient Advocates resolve more than 15,000 benefit issues per year and recover over $1.7 million in claims for our members annually.
